Executive Committee

The James F. Fox Chapter of PRSSA currently has ten executive members representing the chapter. All PRSSA members are encouraged to run for executive positions that they are interested in to gain leadership experience and become more involved in PRSSA. Check out our 2016-2017 officers:

Lauren Martin – President

Lauren is currently a senior at the University of Iowa majoring in Journalism with a minor in Sports Studies. This is her second year on the exec board. Last year she was PR Director and this year she is thrilled to take on her role as President. Ever since she was a little girl, her life has been filled with many sports and she hoped that one day she would become a sports announcer. As she grew older she knew she wanted to keep sports in her life, but now finds that public relations, event planning or marketing better suits her interests. She hopes to one day do public relations for a professional Chicago sports team like the Chicago Bears or Chicago Blackhawks. She participates in intramurals at the University of Iowa and is also involved in other clubs such as Inspire (Student PR Agency), STAR (Students to Assist Recruitment) and a coach for Girls on the Run! In her free time she loves to travel, hang with friends, spend time with her little nephew and of course cheer on her fellow Hawkeyes. Go Hawks!
